Gallery 1: Imaginings

Art is an interesting endeavor, and people who pursue the creation of it are often also people more open to the idea that the world is not at all what it appears to be on first inspection.

If we take out the reason for making art as a way to earn a living, we might also discover that there is much that any work of art can show us about the human experience simply through the artful combination of line, shape, and color.

Art critics, academics, and others (I'm sure) will tell you that Great Art evokes emotions and shows us a deeper side of being human than we would otherwise be aware of. I would like to suggest, however, that all art generated by human hands and human minds (rather than AI), can show us what it is to live and breathe and love and imagine.

The pictures in this gallery are my attempt to do just that. They are not an attempt to be Great Art. Nor are they intended to be room decor. They are imaginings: feelings and ideas that I try to share as a way to help you remember that being human is more than just the endless struggle to get ahead, to be successful, to survive.

May you find in them something that appeals to you, that brings a smile, that - ultimately - inspires you to imagine your own life as one filled with peace, love, and respect for everything and everyone!
